The areas of the three triangles are 8, 4, and 2. I just don't know how to find the area of the middle shape.

ok first divide it into two shapes. which is a parallelogram and a rectangle. ok it is A=bh A=-3 1 -3 a=-9 so our final answer will be.......... -12
