OpenStudy (hippoharry):

What does it mean to say that a data point has a residual of 0? A. The point lies directly on the regression line. B. The point lies above the regression line. C. The predicted value for that point is 0. D. The point falls at the origin.

OpenStudy (hippoharry):

would it be A?

yeah, mathematically, a residual is the difference between an observed data point and the expected -- or estimated -- value for what that data point should have been.. so , A would work.
