Fan & Medal for the best answer :) Because of the overlapping nature of the powers in a federal system, there are often conflicts between the various levels of government. This issue of education, mentioned in section 3, is one example of this. What is another example of an issue that has become a problem because of differing ideas/laws from the state to the federal level? What is the current status of this issue today – is it still a problem?

OpenStudy (theyankee):

The stance on North Carolina having blocked the usage of female bathrooms to males identifying as females, for one. Or, in proper terms, the law that states that you must use the restroom that corresponds with your gender at birth. In fact, the federals are threatening to cut state funding over this issue currently!

OpenStudy (cattypake):

I was actually just reading about this the other day and I didn't even think to use this! Thanks so much :)
