OpenStudy (whystudyalone3):

I need some helppppp

OpenStudy (whystudyalone3):

Consider Michelle Obama's comment to parents on the launch anniversary of the Let's Move program: "We know that kids are like little sponges—they soak up everything they see and hear, regardless of where it comes from. They want the gadget they saw at a friend's house, the sugary snacks they saw on TV. So we know that if we truly want to solve the issue of childhood obesity, parents can't shoulder this burden alone, and we shouldn't have to." Which of these statements would provide a possible rebuttal to this statement? A. "But at the same time, we know that ultimately, we are the ones responsible for what our kids eat. We're responsible for how much time they spend on the couch with that remote control. While we might not always feel like it, when it comes to our kids' health and well-being, we're the ones in charge." B. "But doing so doesn't just respond to people's natural inclinations—it also actually helps to shape them. And this can be particularly dangerous when it comes to our kids, because as all of you know, as parents, the more of these products they have in their diets, the more accustomed they become to those tastes, and then the more deeply embedded these foods become in their eating habits." C. "But here's the good news: It can also work the other way around as well. Just as we can shape our children's preferences for high-calorie, low-nutrient foods—with a lot of persistence, we can also turn them on to high-quality, healthier foods as well." D. "But here's the thing—we can build shiny new supermarkets on every block, but we need those supermarkets to actually provide healthy options at prices people can afford. And we can insist that our schools serve better food, but we need to actually produce that food."

OpenStudy (whystudyalone3):

@dopeness_ Can you help me on this one as well?

OpenStudy (dopeness_):

Did you try any already?

OpenStudy (whystudyalone3):

No, I haven't seen this one before, and I read through them multiple times already and just can't get an idea of which one I should go with... Howeverrrrrr, I DID try this one and I got it wrong.... :( Which audience is Michelle Obama most likely addressing in these remarks? "And if there is anyone here who can sell food to our kids, it's you. You know what gets their attention. You know what makes that lasting impression. You know what gets them to drive their parents crazy in the grocery store. And I'm here today to ask you to use that knowledge and that power to our kids' advantage. I'm asking you to actively promote healthy foods and healthy habits to our kids." A.Teachers B. Students C. Businesspeople D. News reporters It isn't teachers....

OpenStudy (dopeness_):

Mrs. Obama says kids learn habits from everywhere, and parents shouldn't have to be responsible for everything. A rebuttal would be an argument that goes against original statement. D) seems to be in support of Mrs. Obama's statement by mentioning other groups that can help parents by making other food. I would have chosen A) because it is saying parents are ultimately in charge of what goes into the children's mouths. Hope that helps.

OpenStudy (whystudyalone3):

for the second one, I am thinking it is either C or D... It can't be B, that wouldn't make any sense whatsoever... :/

OpenStudy (dopeness_):

Ok, let me take a look.

OpenStudy (whystudyalone3):

Thaaaank youuuu :)

OpenStudy (dopeness_):

"And if there is anyone here who can sell food to our kids" By this piece of information, I would say the answer is D because she said "our" which means she was giving some type of speech maybe.

OpenStudy (whystudyalone3):

Yes, it was a speech, I just couldn't figure out who she would be directing that towards... Because to me it sounds like she's talking to food producers and whatnot

OpenStudy (whystudyalone3):

@dopeness_

OpenStudy (whystudyalone3):

@King.Void.

OpenStudy (dopeness_):

I know it isn't Teachers or Students But then and again Businesspeople doesn't make sense.

OpenStudy (whystudyalone3):

Yeah that's true haha what do you think about the other question? @dopeness_

OpenStudy (dopeness_):

The first one?

OpenStudy (whystudyalone3):

Should I just go with D like you suggested earlier?

OpenStudy (whystudyalone3):

yes haha, you never responded to what I said, just kinda jumped to the other question, and I just now remembered it haha

OpenStudy (dopeness_):

I said A.

OpenStudy (dopeness_):

and yeah go with D

OpenStudy (whystudyalone3):

Okay thank you so much, you have helped me a lot :DDD

OpenStudy (dopeness_):

I hope I'm right xD.

OpenStudy (whystudyalone3):

ahhhhhhh

OpenStudy (whystudyalone3):

OpenStudy (whystudyalone3):

oh well hahaha maybe next time

OpenStudy (dopeness_):

o.o oml...

OpenStudy (dopeness_):

Can you get it reset?

OpenStudy (whystudyalone3):

Yeah one last time but I am afraid to haha

OpenStudy (whystudyalone3):

I might tomorrow

OpenStudy (dopeness_):

Okay.. I can do some research and maybe help tomorrow?

OpenStudy (whystudyalone3):

That would be great, thank you :D

OpenStudy (dopeness_):

If it isn't D then it's definitely C for the second one.

OpenStudy (whystudyalone3):

Yeah for sure, that's such a stupid answer though!!!!

OpenStudy (dopeness_):

I know right. xD

OpenStudy (whystudyalone3):

hahaha I am going to retake another one that I took a while back, do you wanna help me?

OpenStudy (whystudyalone3):

OpenStudy (dopeness_):
