I'd say B. The characters in "The Lottery" were very generic which made them the secondary focus. Meanwhile, the reader is focused on "What is the lottery for? What are the stones for?"

Okay that will help. So for #1 I came up with B,because at first I thought it was A or C but someone said no,that aurthor is looking for the action not the characters and etc so it was either B or D and I'm guessing B since it speaks on mystery which talk about an action and not the character. So am I correct? :)
