Maybe your calc was in degrees or you just made mistakes

I just did \(7=9+28.6\sin{\frac{2\pi}{360}(t-80)}\)

That got me radian values of \(\approx -.77442\) and \(\approx 3.91601\)

then
sin x = (7-9)/2.85 = -0.6993
