describe two instances in which you would use the verbs ser and estar
@TheSmartOne
This is what my Spanish teacher taught me: "How you feel and where you are is when you use the verb 'estar'"
I was always taught this. Ser is used to show something that cannot be changed at that given moment. You use ser with the time because when it is 10:59, it's 10:59 and cannot be changed. You use ser with nationalities because if you're Canadian, then well, you're Canadian. Estar on the other hand shows something that CAN be changed! You use estar when you are saying you are tired, hungry, thirsty, etc., because you can change that and you're not always X. In short, if you are talking about WHAT something is, use ser. If you are talking about HOW something is, use estar. Hope this helps!
