Please, look up that noun, "degree." Without an accurate notion of what "degree" means, it's going to be hard to answer these questions. 9x is a term, not a degree. The term 9x involves the coefficient, 9, and the first power of x, which is simply x; that x is of the first degree. 9x is in the form (coefficient of x) (first power of x) 9 x
