OpenStudy (anonymous):

um...no

OpenStudy (supercm1):

No

OpenStudy (mathmale):

You have a negative sign on both sides of this equation. how would you change that to +?

OpenStudy (f_jayyy):

when moving a number to the opposite side of an = sign it changes the current sign so in the case of 4 it goes from negative to positive....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's tied to the x through multiplication, so you have to do the inverse, which is dividing. -36/-4=9. A negative divided by a negative equals a positive.

Would you "helpers" kindly help scienceteen8 to find his or her own answer? How does it help anyone if you come up with answers and no explanations and no involvement of the other person?
