What happens to the force of gravity between two masses if they are moved closer? Select one: a. It increases. b. It decreases. c. It stays the same. d. It fluctuates.

OpenStudy (rinibunny):

The gravitational force between two objects becomes weaker if the two objects are moved apart and stronger if they are brought closer together. So I believe "A." is correct.

OpenStudy (chappellp):

A is the correct answer. If you'd like an equation that is relevant... (M1M2G)/(d^2) M1= mass of object 1 M2 = mass of object 2 G = gravitational constant (6.67*10^-11) d = distance apart
