Why not draw a real or imaginary pencil line through each of the 2 given graphs, to show where the mean probably lies in each case?

Just draw a vertical line thru the approximate middle of each of the two data sets.   Which of your vertical lines is closer to x=0?  It's that data set that has a smaller mean than does the other.
