Erosion is the action of surface processes (like water flow or wind) that remove soil, rock, or dissolved material from one location on the Earth's crust, then transport it away to another location. So, if all the stuff the erosion swept away piled up, it would probably contain the stuff it swept away, like sand and soil. Hope this helps. :)
