Personally, I think one way to help you understand it is to read it over and over again until you understand it. To summarize it basically two people fall in love during a time of war between families and they sneak away, meet in private, they decide to get married. Then both of them die from suicide. Shakespeare was one messed up person, but an excellent writer at that XD

I am reading it too right now and I like to use modern text and look up any words I dont know and also write out sentences in modern language so you will remember it
