Trigonometry 12 Online
OpenStudy (courtttney00):

Need help solving an algebraic expression as a trigonometric function in terms of x. square root x^2+144 and sqrt 64-9x^2

OpenStudy (yagosik):

2) The equation of circle is\[x ^{2} + y ^{2}=r ^{2}\] if you express y, you get \[y=\sqrt{r ^{2}-x ^{2}}\] or \[y=-\sqrt{r ^{2}-x ^{2}}\] the former equation is the upper half circle, the latter is lower half circle. So what you have is an equation of upper half circle with r=12. 1) This one is the same, but you have hyperbola\[y^2/a-x^2/b=1\] or \[y=\sqrt{ax^2/b +a}\]
