If you wish to find an angle, certain values must already be known and you can use trigonometry to find X. If you are asked to find the length of a side, Pythagoras can be used if the triangle contains a right angle. Remember, the angles inside a triangle always add up to 180 no matter what, so if you have two angles and simply wish to find the third, all you need to do is find the remaining difference.
