Solve the system of equations and choose the correct answer from the list of options. 2x + y = −4 y = 3x + 2 A. (-6/5,-8/5) B. (-8/5,-6/5) C. (-6/5,-11/5) D. (-11/5,-6/5)

OpenStudy (welshfella):

if you subtract the equations you will get an equation in x only so you can solve this for x.

OpenStudy (asett):

Or, @Gabi_M you can substitute the second equation (y=...) for the y in the first equation to solve for x. Does that help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you. That helps a little. I know how to do it, and I'm almost done with this course, but I can't think anymore.

OpenStudy (welshfella):

sorry i got called away

OpenStudy (asett):

:) Well, if you need help, @welshfella and myself are right here! Let us know if you get stuck. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):
