Find the length of the slant height of a square pyramid. If one side of the base of 15 ft and the surface are is 765 square ft.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Do you know how to find the surface area of a pyramid?

OpenStudy (rileyhansen):

The slant hieght would be 51, to find this you divide 765 by 15 to get the hieght 51.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

surface area of pyramid = area of base + area of sides

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

@RileyHansen Your answer is incorrect.

OpenStudy (rileyhansen):

Sorry mate! But I'm only in the 6th grade and I attend FLVS and I take advanced 8th grade mathmatics and this is what I was taught.

You were never taught that because that is so completely wrong that no teacher would teach it. Its not even close to correct. You just made it up.
