( WARNING RETARTED PERSON) Which relation is a function? A. {–2, 10), (–6, 10), (–2, 3)} B. {(–5, 1), (4, 9), (6, 10)} C. {(0, 3), (0, 9), (12, –4)} D. {(5, 5), (5, 9), (5, 15)}
okay. now this is a little tricky. DO you remember that these are written as (x,y)?
If a function has no repeating X cordinates what do you think the answer is. . .?
I kinda remember
okay so when you have (x,y) (x,y) (x,y) a function is supposed to not have the x part of it not repeat.
what do u mean by not repeat?
Example (x,y) (1,0) (0,1) (1,3) the 1 repeats in the first ordered pair and last one
so for example I'll use A A. {–2, 10), (–6, 10), (–2, 3)} (–2, 10) ⬆ ⬆ x y (–6, 10) ⬆ ⬆ x y (–2, 3) ⬆ ⬆ x y The x's are: -2, -6, and -2 -2 was used twice, so it is NOT a funtion
so B?
Yes ^~^
