A the hot air balloon festival in Albuquerque, Thomas photographed balloons as they descended for landing while james timed the descent. The friends sighted a balloon at an altitude of 300 feet and marked the time and altitude on the chart, so they could determine the rate of decent later.

In this case, time is independent.
Time doesn't care about the height of the balloon,
it doesn't care what the weather is like,
it doesn't care if you had your morning coffee,
time just goes on.

So for this problem, our time values constitute our domain.
