Of the given 3 figures, which one has circles / ellipses ?

OpenStudy (austinwst13):

2Figure # 1: Types of Galaxies (Use to answer the questions that follow.) Captionless Image What type of galaxy is A in figure 1? * Use figure 1 to answer this question. 1 pt What type of galaxy is B in figure 1? * Use figure 1 to answer this question. 1 pt What type of galaxy is C in figure 1? * Use figure 1 to answer this question. 1 pt

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

A circle/ellipse is just something that looks like a ring

OpenStudy (austinwst13):

i know that dont help

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Can you look at the figure and tell me which option has circles/rings ?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

give it a try

OpenStudy (austinwst13):

a and c

OpenStudy (austinwst13):

OpenStudy (austinwst13):

thats what they look like

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

good, even though c also looks like a circle/ellipse, it is not closed. so only option A is elliptical galaxy

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

option C is spiral galaxy

OpenStudy (austinwst13):

b

OpenStudy (austinwst13):

thx

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

then option B is obviously an irregular galaxy

OpenStudy (austinwst13):

oh yeah

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Do you know how the galaxy that our planet earth and we live in looks like ?

OpenStudy (austinwst13):

no

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Google for MilyWay galaxy

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

That is our galaxy's name

OpenStudy (austinwst13):

oh

OpenStudy (austinwst13):

i have 6 more

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

See if you can find where the earth is located in that beautiful cosmic mess

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Okay

OpenStudy (austinwst13):

@rebeccaxhawaii

OpenStudy (legomyego180):

The three necessary forces are heat, pressure and time, not Coal, Natural Gas and Oil. Those are fossil fuels not forces.
