HELP ME!!!!!
The box plots below show attendance at a local movie theater and high school basketball games: two box plots shown. The top one is labeled Movies. Minimum at 60, Q1 at 65, median at 95, Q3 at 125, maximum at 150. The bottom box plot is labeled Basketball games. Minimum at 90, Q1 at 95, median at 125, Q3 at 145, maximum at 150. Which of the following best describes how to measure the spread of the data? The IQR is a better measure of spread for movies than it is for basketball games. The standard deviation is a better measure of spread for movies than it is for basketball games. The IQR is the best measurement of spread for games and movies. The standard deviation is the best measurement of spread for games and movies.
Look at both the boxplots do you see outliers in either of them ?
outliers are the few observations that stay far away from the majority
try answering my question, its easy, give it a try
A
What do you mean by A ?
the answer for me question
Wrong. Could you try answering my earlier question ?
what is it
Scroll up and read
I have asked you a question in my first reply
movies looks like it has a outlier but couldn't say without the data
Good try. But no, there are no outliers in either of the boxplots
Notice that all the observations are almost nearby the box.
Since there are no outliers, you don't need to use IQR. standard deviation works nicely for both
Remember this : Use IQR and median when you have outliers In all other cases, use standard deviation and mean.
so would the answer is B or D
which one is wrong
@ganeshie8
D is correct
you was wrong
