OpenStudy (wcrmelissa2001):

Help please :D For modulus inequalities, we are taught that |x|

OpenStudy (phi):

the definition is if \( x \ge 0\) then |x| = x if \(x \le 0\) then |x| = -x so you could analyze your problem for those two different regions (i.e. x<=0 or x>-0) where you replace the modulus with the corresponding value for x

OpenStudy (wcrmelissa2001):

oh but in this case it would be more effective to consider x>1 and so on?

OpenStudy (wcrmelissa2001):

@phi

OpenStudy (phi):

I think first you consider the cases x>=0 and x<= 0 then for each case, you subdivide into more cases.

OpenStudy (wcrmelissa2001):

haha ok thanks :D
