In figure 20-1, where is the field of each charge the strongest? Someone please help me explain! I do not understand the question, and don't know how to answer! Will Fan and Medal!

I think the electric field is at strongest near the particle either repulsed or attracted.

Concur. Field strength for charged particles goes down as \[r ^{2}\] (distance from the particle, squared) goes up, so the field should be strongest at the particle. But, it is also a badly presented problem.
