point `A` moves straight down 6 units to get to `A'`. It does not move left or right. So the translation rule is \(\Large (x,y) \rightarrow (x,y-6)\) the x stays the same the y becomes y-6 to indicate we move down 6 units the same applies to point B (or any point really). Notice how B moves 6 units as well (the y coordinate moves from y = 8 to y = 2)
