Three-Dimensional Object Scavenger Hunt



Directions: You are to create a Google slides or Powerpoint presentation of three-dimensional geometric figures that can be found in and around the school. Each figure you find should have its own page/slide in the presentation and contain the following information:



Identification of the object
What type of geometric figure it is
A picture of the object
The object’s dimensions (you will need a ruler for this)
The volume


Required figures: Three different solids (3D)



The presentation should be “professional” looking. Think of it as though you are trying to sell these items to a client or present them to the principal. Feel free to use the many options and effects that Google slides and Powerpoint offer you. Be creative in finding these figures.



You grade is based on:



Effort displayed in creating the presentation
Presentation
Geometric shapes – figure, picture, and data
Spelling and Grammar
Creativity
Once you have completed your assignment, submit it to your teacher for grading.

What do you think about that? It is simple but it is a bench and is a geometric solid.
And, the dimensions were given. That made finding the volume easier.

Yes, go ahead and do that. You have that power point to make. The information about the cube has to be part of the power point presentation.

Google around and you may be able to find a PowerPoint template to use.
Then, all you would have to do is to upload the photo and write the description.
