I need help with a question....... A candy bar boxes in the shape of a triangular prism. The volume of the box is 3240 cm³ Part A: what is the height of the box? Show your work. Part B what is the approximate amount of cardboard used to make this candy box? Explain how you got your answer. There is a picture but I do not know how to post it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the candy bar is gone cuz i ate it

the candy bar is gone cuz i ate it

OpenStudy (hunker25739):

Really!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

volume of prism = length * area of triangular cross section area of the triangle = (1/2)* height* length of base

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so plug in the values given height = 15 , base = 24 and length = 30

OpenStudy (hunker25739):

but I have to find the height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea 15

OpenStudy (hunker25739):

How

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it shows in pic

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mjmath2_test2_m5_g4_c2.jpg

OpenStudy (anonymous):

volume = 30*(1/2)*15*24

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry I misread the question we need to find the height volume = area triangle * length 3240 =30 *(1/2)*24* h solve for h

OpenStudy (hunker25739):

Yeah how do I do that. Like the formula

OpenStudy (hunker25739):

Do I multiply 30 by 1/2 why is the one half there
