OpenStudy (voltsking2099):

The function below models the correlation between the number of hours a plant is kept in sunlight (x) and the height (y), in mm, to which it grows: y = 4 + 2x What does the slope of this function represent? The original height of the plant was 4 mm. The original height of the plant was 2 mm. The height of the plant increases by 2 mm for every hour of sunlight it receives. The height of the plant increases by 4 mm for every hour of sunlight it receives.

OpenStudy (g3n3sis08):

I think its the first one because when you replace x with 0. That represents the time it spent away from sun light. Or the original height. So y= 4

OpenStudy (phonexhero):

there are 2 correct answers which are the first and the 3rd because when you replace x with 0 you get 4 mm which is the original height of the plant and when you replace x with numbers more than 0 starting with 1 for example the height now is increased by 2mm than the original height and it increases by 2 for every hour(x) here .

OpenStudy (basicteachinglearning):

I would say first one too

OpenStudy (g3n3sis08):

It must be the 3rd because its the gradient. When x is 0 is a point but they are asking for a change in x to y so, the 3rd on is correct.

OpenStudy (voltsking2099):

so it is A or C
