Please help If sin(x) = 1 over 2, what is cos(x) and tan(x)? Explain your steps in complete sentences.

OpenStudy (austinwst13):

hey found a link

OpenStudy (mrnood):

sin x = Opposite /hypotenuse |dw:1463070634088:dw| so use Pythagoras to work out the length a in my diagram you can then easily find cos x - adj /hyp tan x = opp/adj

OpenStudy (austinwst13):

http://openstudy.com/updates/55d25a09e4b0c5fe9806954d has the same question use it to help

OpenStudy (ikou):

link won't load for me. What I have so far is sin^2(x)+cos^2(x)=1 V 1/4+cos^2(x)=1

OpenStudy (mrnood):

@Ikou that is unnecessarily complicated just use my diagram to find the length of the adjacent side (using Pythagoras) the other functions (cos and tan) are then trivial

OpenStudy (ikou):

I have trouble showing my work

OpenStudy (austinwst13):

how

OpenStudy (ikou):

?

OpenStudy (austinwst13):

how

OpenStudy (ikou):

how what...

OpenStudy (austinwst13):

showing your work

OpenStudy (ikou):

Not making sense..
