hey found a link
OpenStudy (mrnood):
sin x = Opposite /hypotenuse
|dw:1463070634088:dw|
so use Pythagoras to work out the length a in my diagram
you can then easily find
cos x - adj /hyp
tan x = opp/adj
link won't load for me. What I have so far is
sin^2(x)+cos^2(x)=1
V
1/4+cos^2(x)=1
OpenStudy (mrnood):
@Ikou
that is unnecessarily complicated
just use my diagram to find the length of the adjacent side (using Pythagoras)
the other functions (cos and tan) are then trivial
