NEW POEM!!

This is a poem that I wrote today and it means a lot to me, cause it is about a real person in my life ( not saying who it is) that makes me feel bad about myself and makes me feel like I don't have a voice. So here it is:

You take away my voice
with all the fights,
You take away my voice
Cause you always have to
be right,
You take away my voice every time
you are near,
You take away my voice
with all my tears,
Can't you see its you
I fear;
You take away my voice all year,
Disapprovingly you stare,
making me self conscious
everywhere,
take me down with out a fight,
cause you took away my voice,
you took away my rights.

I think we all have somebody like that in life, and in your case venting it out this way is the most natural way possible.
I love the line
" Disapprovingly you stare, making me self conscious everywhere, take me down with out a fight, cause you took away my voice, you took away my rights."
It makes me think of a police officer in a way and makes me subconsciously apply that to the real life person who'd act in this very way towards me.

This is beautiful, i think most people understand what its like to be with someone so dominating. In a way it's unhealthy but you just can't bring yourself to leave. Your poem really touched me, i'm glad you wrote it.
