help please Which was a cause of world war 1? A. Russia's desire to stay out of military alliances B. the invasion of Belgium by German troops C. the unification of separate German states into one nation D. Austria-Hungary's imperialist ambitions to dominate the Balkans
The underlying causes of World War I, which began in the The Balkans in late July 1914, are several. Among these causes were political, territorial, and economic conflicts among the great European powers in the four decades leading up to the war.
@Ms-Brains
My AP World teacher explained it this way: The 4 M. A. I. N. causes of WWI: -Militarism -Alliances -Imperialism -Nationalism But, what event is specifically considered the start of WWI? Do you know?
my teacher does not explain much
I think it's either the death of the Austria-Hungary prince or some duke. Or it could be the forming of alliances between different groups of countries, namely the allies and axis powers
@wcrmelissa2001 Axis Powers were WWII. The 2 main alliances were the Allies & the Central Powers. But it wasn't that, it was Archduke Ferdinand.
eh? i thought they were called central powers. but then they also called themselves axis. Ah well
