There are many more microorganisms rather than apex predators in an ecosystem This being said, if microorganisms are near the bottom of the trophic pyramid, which do you think the answer would be?

WOuld the amount of more complex organisms increase or decrease the higher up you went if an ecosystem is mostly comprised of more simpler organisms?
