It would be best to graph them and see where they meet so you would get two solutions to it but it can sometimes have no solutions at all....Here is a site to help ^^

solutions can also be found analytically. If one equation is linear and the other is quadratic, the linear equation could be solved for either variable and the resulting expression in the other variable could be substituted into the quadratic equation. This will eliminate the first variable, thus making it possible to solve for the other.
