OpenStudy (mynameisaustin):

hold on im working it out

OpenStudy (knov):

It's two triangles. You can solve for one triangle and multiply it by 2. and you will have the answer.

OpenStudy (mynameisaustin):

because 4 is a side length and square root of 48 is a side length multiply them together and you have the area its 27.7 which rounded is 28 inches, so A

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

But everytime I do the math I get 38. (brb)

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

bk

OpenStudy (stormer15):

first find the length \(8^2-4^2=64-16=√48\) \(4√48= 27.7~so ~28 \) would be the nearest square inch

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

But I need to find the who rectangle so wouldn't I need to multiply it by 2?

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

whole*

OpenStudy (stormer15):

Where do you get 2 from?

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

Because thats only half on the rectangle

OpenStudy (stormer15):

. . .
