PLZ HELP I'LL GIVE YOU A MEDAL Among the elements of poetry are the sound devices alliteration, repetition, and onomatopoeia. In a paragraph, define and provide an example of each. Then explain how poets uses these sound devices enhance to mood and meaning in their poem. Support with you answer with evidence.
With the element alliteration it's a repetition of the same initial letter or sound; do you remember peter piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, well that's a alliteration it's a tongue twister that even if you say it slow you won't be able to say it at all. Poets use this element to give stress to in sentence like "Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before." Repetition is something that has already been said or written; like in a song; la la by Fergie she is using repetition by saying la la. Poets use this to show stress or someone thinking over and over again about something or someone like "and miles to go before I sleep, and miles to go before I sleep," this person is stressed over how their journey was cruel or long. Onomatopoeia is used to tell you what sound something is making like splash, warble, mumble; poets used this to get the story more detail "That's way to high" she thought to herself *gulp*.
Wait I meant to say for onomatopoeia is that "poets used this in an other way to show how they feel like how I used gulp she is scared at how high the platform is." Sorry about that.
Hope thats a good answer for u
thx
