Consider an industrial machine of mass m supported on spring-type isolators of total stiffness k (i.e. no damping). The machine operates at a frequency f with a force unbalance p0. 1. Find the fraction of force transmitted to the foundation as a function of the forcing frequency f and the static deflecion δst mg{k. Consider only the steady-state response. 2. Determine the static deflection δst if the transmitted force is 10% of p0 and f 20 Hz.

i could help you maybe if i understood the jargon a bit more it looks like you are being asked to solve \(m \ddot x + k x = f(t)\) where F(t) is a forcing function on otherwise shm, with some IV's does that make any sense at all?
