Their Rollercoaster Ride

They took you as a child and ruined your life,
Now you’re somebody famous or a rock star’s wife.
Your pain is pleasure, which somehow makes sense.
They take your sad mind and shut down your defense.
Not everything that glitters is gonna be gold,
But that is something you never were told.
Now you’re dying, dying, almost dead.
You need the voices to stop, but they increase instead.
They tell you what to wear and how to live.
Your life is no longer a precious gift.
As they grab you and play with your head,
They try so hard to make you happy instead.
A ruined mind, memories buried inside.
It’s all bottled within you, nowhere to hide.
You’re not really that special,
Just another star on their rollercoaster ride.
