OpenStudy (love_333):

Can someone help me find the area and explain how to do it? Medal!

OpenStudy (legomyego180):

Sure

OpenStudy (love_333):

OpenStudy (love_333):

@legomyego180 ?

OpenStudy (legomyego180):

Do you know what shape this is?

OpenStudy (love_333):

A parallelogram

OpenStudy (legomyego180):

Correct, Area of a Parallelogram = b*h

OpenStudy (love_333):

So would it just simply be 38*35? What about 44? Do you do anything with it?

OpenStudy (legomyego180):

Because its a parallelogram, the top and bottom have the same length as each other and the sides also have the same lengths as each other

OpenStudy (legomyego180):

Yup 38*35, the other is just there to throw you off I assume. You can check your answer using pythagorean theorem, The formula for area of a triangle, and the formula for area of a square as well, but thats a longer way to do it.

OpenStudy (love_333):

So the answer would be 1330 correct?

OpenStudy (legomyego180):

yup
