OpenStudy (kaynick):

A bedroom has an area of (6x^-4^2y^3 )^2 . The length is (2x^3 y^-2 ^3. Use the formula Area = width x length to find the width of the room. Submit your answer in simplest form and do not include negative exponents. Write your answer using “^” for exponents and “/” for division. Also use parentheses around the numerator and denominator. Example: (4x^2)/(3y^3)

OpenStudy (stacey):

Area = Width x Length (6x^-4^2y^3 )^2 = Width x (2x^3 y^-2) ^3. I would simplify each term and then solve for the width.
