Another Integration question ( this is a tough one)

OpenStudy (legomyego180):

\[\int\limits_{}^{}\frac{ (1+x^2)dx }{ (1-x^2)\sqrt{(1+x^4)} }\]

OpenStudy (zarkon):

are you studding elliptic integrals?

OpenStudy (legomyego180):

Im not sure what to set u to

OpenStudy (legomyego180):

No, u-sub

OpenStudy (zarkon):

then check to make sure you wrote the integral correctly

OpenStudy (legomyego180):

Hm, whats an elliptic integral? Im just picking out hard integral problems and trying to solve them for fun when I came across this one.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

You'll need to make sure you find problems relevant to your class (u substitution)... look at the wolfram link Zarkon posted and you'll see this is not relevant.

OpenStudy (legomyego180):

bummer. When do you learn this?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

I don't remember learning it at all throughout my physics/math degree.

OpenStudy (legomyego180):

Wow. that some next level stuff. thanks
