Medal + fan! A rectangular pyramid fits exactly on top of a rectangular prism. The prism has a length of 15cm, A width of 5cm, and a height of 7cm. The pyramid has a height of 13cm. Find the volume of the composite space figure. A. 1,500cm^3 B. 500cm^3 C. 975cm^3 D. 850cm^3

@Mehek14 @Erak Help?

OpenStudy (erak):

So if you can visualize it, it's just a box with a pyramid on top. The pyramid shares the same base as the length/width of the box. Your equation would be: A = lwh + lwh/3 Where the second height is the pyramid height of 13cm.

OpenStudy (erak):

Oops, change that A to V, it's volume.

OpenStudy (love_333):

So, it would be B correct?

OpenStudy (love_333):

500cm^3? @Erak

OpenStudy (erak):

So what are the dimensions of your rectangular prism, and what are your dimensions of your pyramid?

OpenStudy (erak):

I personally got D, btw.
