Is an interview consider the work of the interviewer or the person that was interviewed?

Like if a political movement leader was interviewed by a journalist, the interview is written down in the perspective of the movement leader by the journalist.

This is a very interesting question , but I think it's both of their work. Because the interviewee's job is to provide answers but also the the interviewer's job is to provide the questions. So it takes both sides.. if that makes any sense :)
