Yes, if you take 2 digits at a time, and call everything bigger than 54 a miss, I count 8 hits out of 20. that is 40%

For part B, I would not mention the skill of the players.  (Though that matters, it does not matter to the numbers you used).  The result is different from theory because you took a "small sample",  and you should expect the answer to be closer to 54% if you looked at say 1000 attempts rather than just 20.

It would be better to say that 40% is not close to the 54% because we only looked at 20 attempts, and that if we looked at 1000 attempts, the answer would be much closer to 54%
