OpenStudy (bellezabrilla):

Help with multiplying polynomials.

OpenStudy (bellezabrilla):

\[5m ^{2}(3m ^{2} + 5m ^{2} - 4m + 6)\]

OpenStudy (anthonyym):

You just use the distributive propety and multiply. Do you know the distributive property?

OpenStudy (zikieeyajohnsonkekejohnson):

15m^5+25m^4-20m^3+30m^2 basically all you do is distribute the 5m^2 into the parenthesis and when doing that you multiply the coefficients and add the exponents. after that just put in order from biggest exponent to smallest exponent (which is called standard form).

OpenStudy (bellezabrilla):

yeAH I did that and I Got \[15m ^{5} + 25m ^{4} + -4m+6\]

OpenStudy (bellezabrilla):

OpenStudy (bellezabrilla):

@anthonyym

OpenStudy (mathmale):

How did you obtain a power of 5 for the first term? The correct power is less than that.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Or you copied the original problem incorrectly. Check that first, please.

OpenStudy (bellezabrilla):

huh
