OpenStudy (makenzie2126):

please helpppppppppp! Explain the difference between using the trigonometric ratios (sin, cos, tan) to solve for a missing angle in a right triangle versus using the reciprocal ratios (sec, csc, cot). You must use complete sentences and any evidence needed (such as an example) to prove your point of view.

OpenStudy (welshfella):

Basically the sin , cos and tan are the appropriate ones to use because its easier to use them as they are the ones you can find on a calculator.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

sine of an angle = opposite/hypotenuse cosecant is the reciprocal of that, so csc of an angle = hyp/opp And so on.

OpenStudy (makenzie2126):

whats the answer? @agent0smith @welshfella

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

I gave you part of it, just continue. Use SOHCAHTOA. cos of an angle = ...? sec of an angle is the reciprocal of that
