OpenStudy (111616):

Ruth has come down with measles. She remains ill for a few days but is unlikely to get measles again. Which type of immunity is characterized here?

OpenStudy (savannah_noelle):

I think this would be classified as adaptive immunity.

OpenStudy (savannah_noelle):

Which falls under the category of active immunity.

OpenStudy (rushwr):

um so there are 4 types of immunity 1) naturally acquired active immunity- This is answer for ur question, once the disease is there ur body forms the immunity to resist it another time. So when u are infected by the disease next tym, u will not be affected by it cuz ur memory cells know what to do. 2) Naturally acquired passive immunity- This is when the maternal antibodies are given to the baby through placenta or breast milk 3) Artificially acquired active immunity- receiving a vaccination to produce memory cells. 4) artificially acquired passive immunity - receive antiserum and antibodies from another host
