What is the Quotient (4-x)/(x^2+5x-6) - (x^2-11x+28)/(x^2+7x+6) In simplified form? State any restrictions on the variable. A. -(x+1)/(x-1)(x-7) x=1 x=7 B. (-1)/(x-7) x=7 C. (-1)/(x-7) x=1 x=-6 x=4 D. -(x+1)/(x-1)(x-7) x=1 x=-6 x=4 x=7
Please help! This is my last question !!!
This is a grueling ton of algebra. Have you factored the denominators of the two terms yet?
No @ mjdennis
@mjdennis
Well, that would be a good first step. I'll be here if you want to check your steps with me.
@mjdennis I'm not sure how to
Give me a minute, I want to make sure the question matches the answers. Should some of those equal signs in the answers be not-equal signs? !=, or <> ?

@mjdennis yeah they have slash through the equal signs
@mjdennis yes
OK, my equation editor does not work right now. We'll split the expression into two parts, (4-x)/(x^2+5x-6) and - (x^2-11x+28)/(x^2+7x+6) for a few steps. So that I know I am not just throwing answers at you in hopes something sticks, you need to do the next step: Tell me what is the denominator in (4-x)/(x^2+5x-6) and what is the denominator in - (x^2-11x+28)/(x^2+7x+6)
@Mor, still need my help?
@Mor You posted:\((4-x)/(x^2+5x-6) - (x^2-11x+28)/(x^2+7x+6) \) To avoid frustration to everyone, I suggest you first check the initial expression to see if all coefficients and signs are correct.
@Mor, @mathmate has a very good point. The equation you gave won't match the answers you gave.
@Mor, if you want to continue with me, I will have to check back later.
