Can anyone tell me about the TRUE cost of World War II? I'm doing this for a DBA (Discussion Based Assesment) and I don't know how to word my response.
First, give a summary of WWII. Include points on how many men died, the years the war was active, and what the main powers were (axis and allied). Next answer the question about the true cost. The true cost of ww2 financially was around 350 billion dollars but that is in the rate from around 1945 so you should give the converted amount of what it would be today. In terms of soldiers lives, 55 million men died total and around 40 million of those were allied soldiers. Much of Europe (the actual land) was also destroyed from the war. Don't forget to mention the Pacific part of the war too. We dropped two atomic bombs on Japan, something that had never been done before. This opened up a whole new and more dangerous type of military weapon . Hope this helped! Reply for anymore help
