1. well the great depression occurred after WWII 'cause the government attempted to normalize society and act like the war wasn't a big deal lol

2. dunno how to answer this one. I wanna say it had both negative and positive impacts, though. advertising typically had a very romanticized (still does) view of how people lived, and it glossed over how depressing the decade was.
