this question is weird because none of these have anything to do with the environment unless you research each option. are these really all the options?

terrorism might work because there's environmental damage when there's an attack. increased globalization might also work too though, because the more factories/manufacturing companies there are, the more pollution there is in the air.

terrorism seems like the lesser of causes, so I might go with increased globalization.
