Geometry 10 Online
OpenStudy (peace420):

A point A (x, y) is translated 10 units to the right and 3 units down. What is the mapping to the new point A’? (x-3, y+10) (x-3, y-10) (x+10, y-3) (x+10, y+3)

OpenStudy (erak):

So x is left and right, y is up and down. Is going 10 units right going to be "+10" or "-10", and also is going 3 units down "-3" or "+3"

OpenStudy (peace420):

so which one would it be?

OpenStudy (erak):

up and right are usually positive, down and left are usually negative, which one do you think it is?

OpenStudy (peace420):

im not sure

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

As Erak said, let's say you have 20 items. If someone takes away 3 of those items, would you have +3 items from what you had or -3 items from what you had?

OpenStudy (peace420):

-3

OpenStudy (peace420):

would it be C?

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

Yeah, that's the only y-3 I see. POE worked great here o.O
